Admire one of Morocco’s natural wonders on a day trip to the Ouzoud Falls, the highest waterfalls in North Africa hidden away in the Middle Atlas mountains and situated at 150 km (app 2h30) from Marrakech.
Travel into the Atlas Mountains and witness the stunning, 360-foot (110-meter) waterfalls. The top of the waterfall offers an astonishing view and you will note there are walking paths all over the site. Walk down the steps to the base and explore the bottom part of the falls on a boat trip or simply swim beneath them.
Take photos from various viewpoints, and, if you wish, visit the caves that house watermills powered by the falls. Watch for local Barbary apes or rainbows above the cascades, savor a traditional moroccan meal or a glass of mint tea at a restaurant along the shaded waterfall path.
