Moroccan Black Soap with Eucalyptus

A Moroccan hammam is unthinkable without black soap. Also called beldi soap, this traditional olive-based paste soap has been used for centuries to cleanse and soften the skin and prepare it for exfoliation. Our Moroccan black soap with eucalyptus adds a fresh, invigorating scent that makes you want to breathe deeply.

The hammam ritual at home

1. Prep your skin: take a hot shower or bath for 5 to 10 minutes to soften the skin.
2. Apply the black soap: spread a walnut-sized amount of paste over your damp body and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes in the warmth.
3. Rinse with lukewarm water.
4. Exfoliate: rub your skin with a kessa glove using long, firm strokes to remove dead skin.
5. Nourish: apply a rhassoul clay mask, then a few drops of pure argan oil.

Why choose Moroccan black soap with eucalyptus?

Fresh, invigorating and slightly camphor-like, eucalyptus is a classic scent of hammams and saunas. It makes this black soap the perfect companion for the colder months and for moments when you need to recharge.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a kessa glove?

Black soap is traditionally used with a kessa glove, which effectively removes dead skin once the soap has been left on. Without a glove, it still cleanses and softens the skin.

What is the difference between the scents?

Eucalyptus is the freshest and most invigorating. The rosemary black soap offers an aromatic, herbal note, and the lavender black soap a floral, calming scent.
